Am I a wanderer? I’m still not sure, I don’t define myself. When I’m asked as to what I do, I often just tell them that I’m just a guy on a motorcycle travelling to different places with no labels nor expectations. A better morning

It sounds counterintuitive – I joined a contest about being a wanderer yet I traveled to a place where a lot of motorcyclist go to… But is “wandering” really about going to an exotic location and taking the road less traveled? To be totally honest, I’m not sure. But I do know one thing , every ride is different from the last one and I’m pretty certain that this will be as good if not better than the others.

Somewhere

I received an e-mail one morning from Wrangler congratulating me for being a finalist and that they are inviting me to a small send off party but before that, I should drop by at the Glorietta to pick some clothes and meet the other finalists. Yes, it sounds exactly like a movie. You win a competition and you go pick up clothes head to a bar then party. I kept on joking while I was at the store that there should be a soundtrack for all of this and the song that I had in mind was “I’m gonna be a supermodel”.

The road to the Dumagat tribe

A view going up to where the Dumagat’s school is located.

The first time I have heard or read of the Dumagat tribe was in my Facebook feed. Someone that I’m connected to went there to donate some slippers, another one went there to donate some school supplies. I started to wonder… maybe I can go and visit that place and hopefully give something to them that can help them in their everyday lives.
